Hot on the heels of their gluten, milk, peanut, egg and soya free flapjacks, Doves Farm have launched a range of gluten, milk, peanut, egg and soya free cookies. Baked in their dedicated gluten, milk, peanut, egg and soya free Wiltshire bakery, they use sustainable palm oil sourced from certified Colombian farms where wildlife and habitats are protected. The range is yet again splendidly freefrom, and amazingly devoid of the 'may contain' warnings that so discourage those with allergies! We love the new packaging (with mouth-watering pictures of the cookies), as well as the labelling, ingredients and allergy warnings.

Chocolate chip cookie: these are fabulous, one cookie in each portion but WHAT a cookie! Big and moist with loads of chocolate chips, but also with a little bit of crunch, lovely, we all really liked this one.

Ingredients: gluten free flour blend*(brown rice*, potato*, maize*), sugar*20%, chocolate chips*18%(sugar*, cocoa mass*, cocoa butter*), palm oil*, corn syrup*, quinoa flour*, corn starch*, raising agents sodium bicarbonate and mono-calcium phosphate. Chocolate chips contain 55% cocoa solids minimum.

2 Stem Ginger Cookies: a pair of light, crisp textured biscuits, sweet but definitely could do with a bit more ginger, - perhaps even some chunks? It was a little difficult to determine that these were actually ginger biscuits until you got right to the end when there was a nice warm gingery aftertaste.

Ingredients: gluten free flour blend*(brown rice*, potato*, maize*), sugar*27%, palm oil*, ginger paste*(stem ginger*39%, sugar syrup*), ground ginger*1%, raising agent sodium bicarbonate

2 Lemon Zest Cookies: these have a very 'scented' lemon aroma, a light, slightly crumbly, soft crumb - we felt they could have a stronger whole lemon flavour, but are very tasty as they are.

Ingredients: gluten free flour blend*(brown rice*, potato*, maize*), sugar*22%, palm oil*, whole lemon*5.5%, corn syrup*, lemon oil*1.5%, raising agents sodium bicarbonate, corn starch*

Double chocolate chip cookie: a little more moist than the chocolate chip cookie, this is very nice but needs 'double' chocolate to live up to the name!

Ingredients: gluten free flour blend*(brown rice*, potato*, maize*), sugar*18%, chocolate chips*16%(sugar*, cocoa mass*, cocoa butter*), palm oil*, corn syrup*, cocoa powder*3%, quinoa flour*, carob*, corn starch*, raising agents sodium bicarbonate and mono-calcium phosphate. Chocolate chips contain 55% cocoa solids minimum.
