Manna Dew is a gluten free cafe dedicated to creating hand made French patisserie. They also handmake patisserie to order. And their creations are very beautiful!
Citrus Chia is a cube of light sponge cake layered with citrus mascarpone cream layers - whilst we really like this, we felt that even with lime, orange and lemon zest included, the recipe could do with an increased amount of all the citrus flavours - but a very soft and pleasant dessert, especially with the crunchy chia seeds on top.

The Financier (apparently named after the rectangular moulds these are baked in that resemble gold bars!) is a soft and moist sponge, with a really good texture, a caramel flavour and a 'nutty' grain - rather good! The top is finished with a raspberry glaze.

Double Chocolate has a biscuity pastry, lots of good, dark chocolate (just right for double choc!) and the ganache was perfect: soft & rich. And topped off with a brittle made from cocoa nibs - this is super-rich and perfect for sharing!

Lemon Meringue vied equally with the Financier for the top spot amongst our tasting panel - we loved the nutty pastry, not very crisp, but biscuity, really nice. A really lovely lemon curd filling, which could do with just a little more lemon, but it already pretty pleasant, and topped off with a dollop of soft meringue - perfect!
